Three seasons of photography with the BBC Philharmonic
"We have worked with Andrew over many years and as soon as we got the brief from the BBC Philharmonic we knew he was the perfect collaborator. Together we brought to life the orchestra’s concerts for three years, with Andrew creating an incredible, custom piece of digital art for every concert. His ability to imagine and bring to life a whole new world in response to the music made the project a huge success and, equally important, he’s an absolute pleasure to work with."

Artist collaboration with David Ogle
"I was initially drawn to collaborate with Andrew by the quality and distinctive sensibilities evidenced in his Landscape works. Andrew’s expertise became formative within the project, proposing methods and approaches for documenting these ephemeral works that were beyond my realm of experience and pushing the resulting outcomes (in photography and video) in ways that exceeded my early objectives.
Whilst working on-location, Andrew’s partnership allowed for a level of assuredness in the results of each shoot (through his communication and attention to detail, establishing the ambitions of every outcome); enabling me to focus on the production of each work and allowing a level of spontaneous experimentation. In what became an organic working relationship, we were able to become responsive to each new site, capturing unique moments out in remote places and forming these into a successful body of work."

Art exhibitions and festival commissions with Curated Place
"We’ve worked with Andrew Brooks since 2008 on a wide variety of projects where we’ve found ways for him explore British and European cities, including tunnelling beneath Manchester, climbing to the top of St Giles’ Cathedral in Edinburgh, and flying over an active volcano in Iceland. His adaptability, creativity and professionalism have allowed us to create some outstanding projects together where his images, created in some of the most challenging circumstances have captured the imagination of thousands."

Lead images for Design Manchester festival
"Like the city we inhabit, Design Manchester has grown over a rapid rate in the last six years. With this growth our visual identity has become paramount alongside our message of a ‘Design City'
Andrew knows not only every bit of our city but always finds the abstract parts, overgrown or forgotten and not just in Manchester but in other cities around the world. This approach always presents the familiar in an unfamiliar way, sometimes hyper-real with incredible clarity asking questions of what is real and encouraging discovery in the details.
For two years running we have enjoyed a fruitful creative relationship driving the image and message of our organisation, of cities and the people that inhabit them and how they shape their environment."
